Emotionally Authentic Improv: About the Masterclass
Sometimes one of the hardest things to do in Improv is simply be human. In this course, we’ll explore how to bring authentic emotion, meaningful relationships, and mindful affect-driven choices into our scenes.
Throughout the masterclass, you’ll learn how to identify what your character truly feels about the situation, their scene partner, and the world around them. We’ll focus on playing to the top of your intelligence- making emotionally honest choices that feel real rather than random. Whether it’s heartbreak, jealousy, fear, love, or frustration, you’ll practice grounding your improv in genuine emotional truth and discover how real feelings can create richer, funnier, and more compelling scenes. And, of course, we’ll do it all in a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment.
